Kombi will play in Norway for the first time. The band has been operating with one break since 1969 and is considered an icon of the Polish music scene. The founder of the formation is Sławomir Łosowski, who decided to bring the formation back to life in 2004. Since then, the group has also performed with Zbigniew Fil, Karol Kozłowski and Tomasz Łosowski.

The beginnings

Initially, the band operated under the name of "Akcenty". It was an original musical project by Sławomir Łosowski. The first concerts were played in youth and student clubs throughout the Tri-City. The band recorded their first songs in the spirit of blues and jazz, which were popular music genres at that time. The artistic concept changed two years after its founding - from 1971 Kombi played experimental and improvised music. The audience liked this style, as evidenced by the victory at the Festival of Contemporary Youth Music in Kalisz in 1973.

Back to rock

The passion for experimental and improvised music lasted until 1975. Then Sławomir Łosowski decided to part with his rhythm section. In their place, he accepted the singing bassist Zbigniew Sentowski and drummer Jan Pluta. In this line-up, Kombi returned to its rock roots, and their performances began with the club Rudy Kot.

A little later the formation was completed by Waldemar Tkaczyk, and at the end of 1975 Grzegorz Skawiński became the vocalist. In the same year, Sławomir Łosowski began working with the Baltic Artistic Agency in Sopot and began working on a new repertoire. As a result of this cooperation, a decision was made to change the band's name to a more modern one. It officially happened on July 4, 1976 on the pages of the "Bałtyckie Forum Muzyczna" broadcast by Radio Gdańsk. Since then, the band has been known as "Kombi".

The first major successes

Cooperation with the Baltic Artistic Agency quickly began to bring success. In 1980, the first LP was released. "Combo", Which was promoted by the singles" Hotel of your dreams "and" Przytul me ". At the turn of 1980/1981, the band released their second album entitled "Kings of life"And the single" Without Restrictions "from this album was for many years the top of the TV broadcast" 5-10-15 ". In 1981, the second single from this album was released, a new drummer - Jerzy Piotrowski joined the band - and the band itself went on big concert tours abroad.

The greatest hits

The first major commercial success was related to the emergence of a new style characteristic of the Kombi. The instrumental layer of this album was enriched for the first time in Poland with the sound of the Ensoniq Mirage sampler. Two years later, Kombi embarked on a 10th anniversary tour. Its effect was a concert album entitled "10-years - the best of live". At that time, Piotrowski left the formation, and Jan Pluta sat behind the drums, who quickly made the decision to leave the group. Since then, Kombi has performed as a trio.

15th anniversary and suspension of activity

In 1991, the band celebrated its 15th anniversary. On this occasion, an album entitled "The Best of Kombi”Containing the 16 greatest hits of the band. At that time, the founder's son, Tomasz Łosowski, joined the team. The formation went on a third tour to the United States, but in the meantime Skawiński and Tkaczyk left it for their own project "Skawalker". After unsuccessful attempts to supplement the line-up and as a result of the deterioration of the health of Sławomir Łosowski's wife, a decision was made to suspend the band's activities in 1995.

Reactivation in 2004

After 19 years, the topic of the Kombi reactivation took real shape. Currently, the band consists of: Sławomir Łosowski, Zbigniew Fil, Karol Kozłowski and Tomasz Łosowski.
