Makaveli Linden suspected of murder. As reported on October 23, suspect in the murder of Majorstua Makaveli Linden he has been arrested in the French city of Dijon. Earlier it was released after him international wanted posterand even earlier - on October 19 - the police made a decision publish the image of the suspect in Norwegian media. It turns out that the Swede may be related to yet another murder.
A 58-year-old woman was found dead in Belgium
The body of 58-year-old Johanna Jostameling was found on October 24 in the center of Mechelen (Belgium), a city near Antwerp's airport. After the autopsy, it turned out that the death could have happened a few days earlier - on October 21. At the time, Makaveli Linden was on his way from Oslo to Dijon and was presumably in Mechelen before setting off towards France.
Similar circumstances
There are similar circumstances between the murders in Majorstua and that in Mechelen. Like 24-year-old Heikki Bjørklund Paltto, Johanna Jostameling died from knife wounds. It was also found that her apartment had been robbed. The Swede himself was on October 21 in the vicinity of Mechelen. For these reasons, Linden will also be questioned about the possibility of committing an additional crime while fleeing to France.

Makaveli Linden has not yet been questioned
According to Nele Poelmans - the prosecutor in charge of Linden's case - the suspect has not yet been questioned in the Mechelen murder case. "We can confirm that new clues have emerged," Poelmans told NRK.no, "The suspect has not yet been questioned in this case and it is not known whether the new circumstances will be against Linden."
First he fled to Uppsala
Makaveli Linden, after committing the murder on October 19, in Majorstua, first fled to his hometown in Sweden - Uppsala. Then he continued his escape deep into Europe. At this stage, there were no indications that he would eventually attempt to flee to the French city of Dijon.

The services, however, managed to catch the signal transmitted from his telephone. Thanks to this, the officers were able to monitor on an ongoing basis where the suspect was going. This made it possible to arrest Linden when he arrived in Dijon.
