BENT HØIE: NEW NATIONAL MEASURES FOR THE WHOLE COUNTRY
- The infection situation has become more unstable. Thus, Health Minister Bent Høie (H) started a press conference on the infection situation on Tuesday afternoon.
The government is now introducing new national measures for the entire country.
The reason is the widespread transmission of the British variant of the virus.
Today's News From Norway-New Recommendations:
- One meter becomes two meters, while maintaining the distance
- A maximum of two people is recommended for visits to private homes - if local authorities recommend that you avoid visits, you should follow this advice, whether you are at home, at Hyt or elsewhere
- Children can be visited by one or two regular friends
- If you have an area with a high infection rate, you shouldn't visit or stay overnight
- Wear a face mask in all areas where a distance of two meters cannot be kept
- We recommend that people only use the shopping malls and department stores in the municipality where they live
- This does not mean that you can have two new appointments every day. You should try to keep the number of close contacts as low as possible and stick to one or two regulars, says Høie.
- Please cancel all scheduled events. If they cannot be canceled, they can be conducted with up to 20 people in the room. Outside, only 50 people are allowed to attend the events, says Høie.
. New rules:
- Serving alcohol will be banned throughout the country.
- Organized indoor sports and recreational activities for adults are prohibited, except for professional top athletes.
- Gyms should be closed, but may leave the following offers open:
- offers for the residents of the commune.

- Swimming pools, water parks, spa facilities, hotel pools etc. Must be closed but may leave the following offers open:

- People who return to Norway after unnecessary trips abroad, they must spend the entire period of quarantine in quarantine hotels. Valid from midnight to Monday 29 March.
- We recommend that you cancel all scheduled events. If events cannot be postponed, the following rules apply:
Inside, 20 people can participate in events with permanent, designated seating.
In rooms, 50 people can participate in sports events for people under 20 who belong to sports teams in the same municipality.
Outside, only 50 people are allowed to attend the events.
It is allowed for 50 people at funerals and burials when permanent designated areas are used.

Social contact
- Distance of two meters from others, except for those in your own household (or close single people). (New)

Shopping

Travels
- Going abroad is not recommended.
- Avoid unnecessary domestic travel.
- You can travel to a lodge or hotel in the country, but avoid public transport if possible.
- Those traveling to municipalities with less stringent measures should, in principle, follow the recommendations of the municipality in which they live.
Høie also adds that you can go to hyta at Easter, but only with those you live with. If you live alone, you can go with one or a maximum of two friends.
. THE GOVERNMENT IMPLEMENTS A NATIONAL BAN ON THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL
"Alcohol is not allowed throughout the country," says Health Minister Bent Høie (H).
Some municipalities have already introduced a ban on alcohol consumption, but the restriction will now apply nationwide.
National regulations apply at 23:22 from March 00.
NOK 500 million for the companies concerned
- We know that these measures will affect jobs again, especially in the hotel and restaurant industries. Consequently, in the revised national budget, the government will increase the existing municipal scheme to compensate the companies affected by the amount of NOK 500 million. This is in addition to the CZK 750 million remaining in the program.
