The government opens open-air league football matches from 5 May. This applies to the two top leagues in women's and men's soccer. The opening will also include training and final league handball matches, but for a limited number of training sessions and league matches.

All clubs must adhere to updated infection control guidelines

The government assumes that both soccer and handball clubs are adhering to updated infection control recommendations. All recommendations are prepared by the Norwegian Football Association and the Norwegian Handball Federation.

- The training matches, which have been taking place since April 16, were conducted with infectious caution. That is why I am very happy that we can now open up to league matches in the two top leagues in women's and men's football. At the same time, I am glad that handball has a chance to end the season 2020/2021. We pay tribute to the Norwegian Handball Federation, which has adapted its program to the scope that can be opened up, says Minister Abid Raja.

Media representatives who are essential to media coverage have access to the events

All journalists, photographers and other media representatives who are essential to media coverage have access to the events. Training matches for streak teams in the top other sports, including teams from the PostNord league, are considered part of the second stage of the faceoff plan.
