Elections in Norway

Radio Wataha took part in a meeting with politicians from the Høyre and Arbeiderpartiet parties, which was organized at the Caritas headquarters in Oslo. Politicians want as many people as possible to understand what they want for the inhabitants of Norway, which is why they willingly engage in talks with the media that have a large audience in national minorities. Torbjørn Røe Isaksen was the representative of Høyre and Jonas Gahr Støre acted on behalf of Arbeiderpartiet. The head of Oslo City Council, Raymond Johansen, was also present at the meeting. The topics discussed at the conference were the labor market for immigrants, discrimination and the improvement of life for foreigners in Norway.

The first part of the conference was held on Friday with Torbjørn Røe Isaksen. (the article will be completed with this information soon)

Today the second part of the conference with Jonas Gahr Støre and Raymond Johansen took place. Before we could ask questions, the topic of the market was brought up work in Norway. According to Støre, work is the key to integrating foreigners into Norwegian society. Changes in this area should occur in five points.

The first point is about getting people to work, each of us has a different start, but we all have the same opportunities. Støre stresses the importance of this society facing the challenges on its own.

The second point is to look at who the unemployed are and how you can help them. The desire is for more immigrant women to start working. Arbeiderpartiet believes that financial support for families where a child between the ages of one and two has not been enrolled in kindergarten has a negative impact on their ability to work.

The third point is cooperation with NAV. More companies are expected to collaborate with NAV, while post-collaboration follow-up should be even closer.

The fourth point is discrimination. Jonas Gahr Støre emphasized that we will never get rid of this problem. However, the Arbeiderpartiet emphasizes that it will try to do everything to minimize discrimination. They do not want people to be deprived of their jobs because of their foreign origins or to be exploited.

The last point is to help immigrants integrate with volunteers from different organizations.

Municipality Oslo wants more women took up the job. That's why the head of the Oslo city council, Raymond Johansen, said that the city wants to offer free kindergartens, community centers and extracurricular activities. A similar offer is intended to apply to poor families, so that children can be integrated into society. Free courses will be available for adults, focusing on the Norwegian language and work at the same time. The commune wants more organizations to cooperate to make it easier for people to access the labor market.

Elections in Norway. Changes to the Policy

When asked if Arbeiderpartiet is planning major changes in politics, Jonas Gahr Støre replied that they plan to keep the asylum and want to pursue a policy of solidarity with the European Union. People coming to the country are to be more integrated, and the waiting time for examining the application for a stay is to be shortened.

Arbeiderpartiet wants to support young people in buying their first home in Oslo. Flats are to be more accessible and to be diversified, so that everyone can find something for themselves. Flats are to be built at prices accessible to everyone, so that more people can buy something of their own.

All national minorities who have the right to vote are encouraged to go and cast their vote. This is how we get the society we want.

Additionally, Raymond Johansen, please Poles in Norway to register the vaccination if they received it in Poland. Currently, we are unnecessarily accused of importing krona from Poland, this is due to statistics that are not consistent with reality. Therefore, it is worth registering your vaccination from Poland in the Norwegian health system.
