Caritas is an organization that focuses on helping immigrants in Norway, mainly economic migrants. They offer this help on many different levels and operate on many levels. The overriding goal of Caritas is for people to know their rights and not be afraid to exercise them.

Where and how can we get help
Radio Wataha (wataha.no) and Caritas encourage the use of free help in the center of Caritas. This can be done over the phone 23 33 43 61 or in person at Oslo at 38 Storgata Street.
It is perfectly safe to physically come to the Caritas office during a pandemic, as all precautions are followed. The organization itself encourages people to show up physically in the ward. In this way, more will be done and faster in the given case. After arriving at the place, you should say what you came in and in what language you want to get help.
However, if you prefer to call, you do not have to stress that the person on the other side does not speak Polish. Because we will be redirected further to someone who speaks our language who will help us. You just need to wait.
Caritas also has a Facebook page, both in English and Norwegian. You can find useful information in many languages here, and the most important information is also provided in Polish. Additionally, Caritas organizes meetings in Polish, which are addressed to employees, so that they can learn about their rights. Radio Wataha I also want to help and be a carrier of this information.
What problems can Caritas help us with?
If we start a new job and we cannot verify the contract, we can go to Caritas. In this way, we will see if the employer wants to deceive us, and thus we can avoid many problems in the future.
However, once we have signed the contract and our employer does not fulfill his obligations. For example, he has not paid out for the holiday or is not paying us the right salary. Caritas is also able to help us. You should go to the organization there, it will be calculated what is owed to us, and then an appropriate letter will be sent to the employer. Caritas does not have lawyers, but has a group of lawyers to help when needed.
Caritas can also help us with family problems. Last year, a new project was launched, which focuses on helping Polish families to acclimatize their children, as well as barnevernet. Communication and cultural differences are important to them.
The problems mentioned are only part of what Caritas can help us with. Whole the help offered by the organizations is completely free. Caritas also runs language courses.
