On Sunday morning, Vegtrafikksentralen Vest published some news about trees that had landed on the road.

In Vestby, the fire department started at 7.30am to clear a tree that had fallen in the path of Johan Herman Wessel. Just before 8am on Sunday the fire brigade intervened in Ås Follo, where a tree had toppled and hit the house. No injuries were reported to residents.

A tree collapsed in Arendal and blocked Skilsøveien on both lanes. At 9.30am, Agder police report a tree that has collapsed on the road in Tveit, Kristiansand.

The tree severed the electricity grid, which caused more than 2300 people, Skagerak Energi in Larvik, to run out of electricity. It informs the company on its website. There are also nearly 700 households in Søndre Land without electricity.

Ferries canceled

In addition, Fjordlines' trips between Kristiansand and Hirtshals have been canceled due to bad weather.

The Horn-Andalsvågen and Sandnessjøen-Dønna-Løkta ferry routes have also been canceled until further notice, reports the traffic center to the north.

Police patrol reported a landslide over E6 in Drivdalen.

Road E6 between Oslo and Trondheim via Drivdalen, approximately three kilometers north of Kongsvoll, is therefore closed. A detour is recommended on national road 3 via Østerdalen. The road traffic control center and a geologist were notified to assess the conditions.

Highway 13 of Bredvik between Tau and Sand has also been temporarily closed due to a landslide. The road is now cleared and open to free traffic.

Water in the basement

Sigmund Clementz, chief of communications at insurance company If, says in a press release that the company is closely following the situation.

- On Sunday, heavy rainfall was noted in many places, which can lead to water both to homes and businesses - he says.

According to Clementz, if a lot of water enters a furnished basement with a bathroom, between 300 and 000 kronor can be damaged.

- Watch the water level carefully, relocate items and furniture from the basement to another floor if there is a risk of water ingress. Cars, caravans and campers that are positioned so that the water can reach them should be moved now, says the communications manager.

Wet Sunday

Meteorologists warn of the storm that characterizes Sunday over large areas of western and eastern Norway.

There is an orange flood risk level in Ringerike and Hadeland and in and around Oslo. Oslo police also tweeted on Sunday morning that Oslo, Asker and Bærum are at risk of yellow rain and landslides.

Rescue services encourage residents in warning areas to unblock blocked drains and gutters, secure loose objects, move carefully and stay away from flooded water courses.
