On Thursday morning, NVE reported that despite the large amount of water, it was a night without any serious incidents. – and we expect that Thursday is the day with the highest probability of incidents – says Brigt Samdal, director of the landslides and watercourses department.

NVE alert services report that several rivers are experiencing high water flow. More rainfall is also expected in the coming days.

"Water flow will continue to increase and the peak is expected to peak late Thursday or early Friday morning," says Samdal. It depends both on the development of rainfall and temperature.

Several evacuations and many closed roads

The E39 road at Vinjeøra in Trøndelag is closed until next week. The road surface is damaged and has been washed away in some sections.

Although the night went by without the most serious incidents, three evacuations from residential areas have been reported so far. There are many closed roads in Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal at the same time.

As Trønderbladet writes , in Trondheim, two people had to leave the car after driving through the flooded road at the E6 entrance in Ekra. The car was left under water.
