Changes to the quarantine rules and update of restrictions in Norway

Kindergartens, schools and SFOs

Schools and kindergartens are no longer required to have a yellow level, but it is advisable to continue this level if required by the local infection situation.

Secondary schools and adult education move from red to green. Municipalities need to consider measures according to local circumstances.

Regular testing in schools and kindergartens will be used more in areas with high infection pressure.

The municipalities are asked to follow the evolution of the infection situation and to adjust the level of resources to the development. Kindergartens and schools need to be prepared to move rapidly to a more stringent level of funding.

Restaurants

Alcohol in bars and restaurants until 23.00 in places with a license to serve alcohol, It is important that the last consumption was not later than 23.30.

The restaurant must ensure that everyone can stay one meter away from anyone other than the householders.

Requirements for face masks that cannot be kept distances except sitting at the table.

Obligation to register guests who agree to it.

Universities and vocational schools

There is no longer any requirement for digital teaching, examinations and skills training.

The main rule is that all students must have some teaching on campus.

Regular testing is recommended.

There must be a maximum of 30 people in the class. The rooms can accommodate a maximum of 200 people with fixed, allocated places.

It is recommended to keep a distance of one meter and to use a face mask where this is not possible.

Recommendations for home surgery and masks do not apply to the necessary and statutory tasks for particularly vulnerable groups as well as children and adolescents.

Sports and recreational activities for children and adolescents up to 20 years of age

Recreational activities should be conducted outdoors if possible.

In the open air, activities take place as normal.

If desired, indoor activities can be conducted with contact. In rooms, groups of "about 20 people or by class / group" are recommended.

At cultural and sporting events where children and young people under 20 years of age are athletes, athletes and support staff do not count towards the maximum number of people who may be present.

  • There are exceptions to the distance requirement for athletes at indoor cultural and sporting events.

It is not recommended to postpone or cancel indoor events related to organized recreational activities that bring together children and adolescents from different locations.

Outdoor events related to organized cultural, sports and recreational activities for children and adolescents up to 20 years of age may take place without quantitative restrictions and with the required number of adults. If more than 100 people are present, no arrangements should be made for public spaces or the use of indoor facilities, except toilets.

Sports and recreational activities for adults

A maximum of 20 people and a distance of 1 meter are recommended. During intensive training, preparations should be made at a distance of 2 meters

Adults can exercise outdoors as usual by contacting them as needed.

The most important sports can be practiced normally using infection control measures.

For team sports, individual matches are recommended, not tournaments and cups. Individual sports are recommended to limit the size of the competition group.

There are exceptions to the distance requirement for athletes at indoor cultural and sporting events.

Events

Private events / meetings in a public place, rented / rented premises:

Indoor: 30 people maximum, 50 people at the memorial service. Ordering masks for the public.

Outside: Up to 50 people.

Public events in rooms:

No fixed allocated seats: Maximum 30 people.

With permanent allocated places: Max 200 people.

Quarantine Policy

Close people who are members of the household household or equivalent persons in close proximity to an infected person must be quarantined for ten days after their last close contact. If the test result is negative 7 days after close contact, the quarantine may end. However, there are several exceptions to the quarantine obligation.

The quarantine obligation does not apply to people who have had COVID-19 in the last three months.

The quarantine obligation does not apply to people who have received a refreshing dose at least one week prior to close contact and have been using the test regimen for seven days. You must take the test for seven days or take a quick test daily by a healthcare professional or every other day with the PRC test.

The government is considering introducing a Covid passport

The Minister of Health and the Prime Minister say that the introduction of a certificate for use at events and restaurants is being considered. The case was sent to trade unions.
