Liza Lovdahl Gormsen Is Behind the Class Action Lawsuit against Facebook's parent company Meta. It is seeking compensation of at least £2,3 billion on behalf of everyone who used Facebook at least once between October 1, 2015 and December 31, 2019.
It is estimated that it is 44 million people.
Gormsen believes that during this period, Facebook collected data from both its own platform and other platforms such as Facebook Pixel, an advertising tool that can be used by third parties to monitor how people use their websites.
In the commentary to the lawsuit, the spokesman for Meta emphasizes that the use of Facebook is free.
