The municipality of Bergen is currently creating several new self-test distribution sites.
There have been changes to the rules of who should perform the PCR test this weekend. These rules entered into force in Bergen on January 23. Confirmatory PCR testing is not required for people who have received three doses of the vaccine or for people who have received two doses and then passed COVID-19 in the last 3 months.
- There is a lot of pressure on the municipal test stations at the moment. Therefore, before the weekend, we asked the national authorities to consider changes to who must test at the municipal test stations. It is positive that the changes have been introduced and we hope that they will contribute to reducing queues - says the city councilor for the elderly, health and volunteering Beate Husa.
Some groups should still pass the PCR test, but above all, all should pass the self-test first.

Self-test positive residents and should not use PCR must continue to comply with the isolation rules. They should notify their close contacts. They also need to register via the municipality's website in order for the municipality to have an overview of the number of infected.

New distribution locations for quick tests
From Wednesday, January 26, residents will be able to pick up quick tests at the following sports facilities (in addition to the test stations in Spelhaugen and Festplassen):
- Arna: Bjornarhallen
- Åsane: Åstveithallen
- Fana and Ytrebygda: Sandslihallen
Initially, the opening hours are 12.00-18.00, Monday to Friday.
From next week, the commune is working on extending the offer to other districts. Information will be posted on the commune's website.
