In April, the Norwegian Post launched a free unaddressed parcel service to Ukraine. The service is currently being extended with addressed packages. The first truck to Ukraine left last week and contained more than five tons of humanitarian deliveries.

- Thanks to the new service, it will be even easier for us in Norway and the Ukrainian refugees who came here to send humanitarian aid to their families and friends in Ukraine for free. We hope many people will use this free service. This applies to both addressed and unaddressed mail, says Posten CEO Tone Wille.

You cannot submit unsafe or prohibited content

The service offered is the result of cooperation between the Embassy of Ukraine, the Ukrainian postal company Ukrposhta and Posten Norge. Assistance packages should contain long-life food, medical equipment, hygiene items, or other much-needed items. You cannot submit unsafe or prohibited content. The complicated situation in Ukraine means that it may take some time for parcels to be delivered.

Humanitarian aid parcels will be sent as a regular shipment from Norway to Poland. Then, all humanitarian aid shipments will be transported further by the Ukrainian state post office Ukrposhta. Unfortunately, parcels will not be delivered to immediate war zones.

The war continues. How to help and send help?

1. Pack what you want to ship in the parcel. You can reuse the packaging you already have, but make sure it is solid. The maximum package weight is 25 kg.

2. Order shipping on the mail page. Write what is in the package and the name and address of the person or institution that will collect the package.

3. You will receive a QR code by e-mail, which you can take with you when going from the package to the post office. You don't have to print anything yourself.

Ukraine needs help now

– Providing humanitarian aid is one of our priority areas of supporting Ukraine in its heroic defense of the country against Russian aggression. As of May 11, 2022, with the help of Embassy of Ukraine in Oslo and a group of dedicated volunteers, approximately 140 large humanitarian loads were packed and shipped to Ukraine. Ukraine needs much more help and it needs it now. I am convinced that our cooperation with the Norwegian Post will allow us to provide humanitarian aid easier, faster and more comprehensively, says Ukrainian ambassador to Norway Vyacheslav Yatsyuk.
