On behalf of 18 students from Ukraine, I would like to thank the Norwegian charity Open Heart. In particular, Mr. Halvard Hasseloy, who, through the Believe Foundation, provided the children with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Youth studying at the Technical School Of the Polish Army in Starachowice, ZDZ in Kielce has been studying in Poland since 01.09.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX. They returned to classroom education a week before the outbreak of the war in Ukraine.
War
@radiowatahatv
They found out about the dramatic situation in their country on February 24.02.2022, XNUMX. from the media. Overnight, these young people were deprived not only of contact with their families. They were also deprived of their livelihood (Ukrainian accounts were blocked on the day of the outbreak of the war). The difficult situation of Ukrainian youth is exacerbated by the fact that they came to Poland a week before the outbreak of the war and do not have the refugee status.
Norway with a big heart and support
All the more sincere thanks once again to the Norwegian charity Open Heart. Especially Mr. Halvard Hasseloy. Who, through the Belive Foundation and the President of Magdalena Gościniec, became interested and did not remain indifferent to the dramatic situation of young people who, in a foreign country, far from their relatives, fear for their families, deprived of the possibility of returning to their homes, most of which no longer ma, they are left to themselves. As they do not meet the refugee criteria, they do not "fit in" with the act, so they cannot count on institutional assistance. And yet the basic need of every person, especially young people, is a sense of security, not only emotional, but also security regarding everyday needs, including regular meals, and the war took away this feeling of youth from Ukraine.
Yours faithfully
Dorothy Glina
