We kindly inform you about the launch of a new online passport service for minors up to 31 years of age from March 12. Detailed information is available on the website of the Polish Embassy in Oslo:

on the gov.pl website, from March 31, 2023, it will be possible to submit applications for a passport document for a child up to 12 years of age.
In order to use the new passport service, a mother or father, as well as a court-appointed legal guardian or guardian of a child under 12 years of age who needs a passport or a temporary passport, must have an electronic signature - qualified, personal and/ or trusted signature
The online service will allow you to apply for a passport document for children up to 12 years of age without the need to make an appointment at the consulate. Collecting a document for a child aged 5-12 will require a personal visit of the child with one parent, legal guardian or curator at the consulate (without making an appointment).
To be able to use the new online service from March 31, 2023 and without visiting the consular office. In order to settle the child's passport issue, equip yourself with a qualified electronic signature, personal or trusted signature. Detailed information is available on the portal gov.pl .

It is worth noting that the new online passport service on the gov.pl portal will not be the only way to obtain a passport for a child. Parents will still be able to apply for a passport in the traditional way, i.e. in person at the passport office or by post.
