The results of the local elections in Norway in 2023 have brought great changes on the political scene. The Høyre Party achieved significant success, winning a majority of seats in many cities and regions. This is also the first time in a long time that the Arbeiderpartiet is not the largest party after the elections.

It is worth noting that the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap) faced many challenges during its government term. The electricity price crisis, the war in Ukraine and rising inflation are important issues that could have influenced her electoral result. Support drops by 3,1 points. percent compared to the previous elections, it is a significant decrease, which means support at the level of 21,7%. at national level.

The election result also contributed to the Arbeiderpartiet losing its majority in Oslo and other regions. Senterpartiet (Sp) also suffered heavy losses, losing over 1000 seats across the country.
