One of the traditional customs of St. Nicholas Day is hanging stockings in which Santa Claus was supposed to leave gifts. For many years, December 6 was the day commemorating this saint, when gifts were given to each other.

St. Nicholas Day remains a time of joy
However, over the years, in the 20th century, the image of Santa Claus became increasingly associated with the fairy-tale character who visits children during Christmas. Despite the evolution of this tradition, St. Nicholas Day remains a time of joy, generosity and love, reminding us of the need to care for others and look for ways to spread goodness around us.
