If you have a dog that is sensitive to different sounds, you should start preparing your dog for New Years Eve in early December.
A responsible dog owner cares about his well-being and should make it easier for his shaggy friend to survive the New Year's Eve.
Here are some simple tips to help your dog handle the noise of a bang more easily.

Get a CD with different sounds of fireworks and firecrackers and play it quietly several times a day.
The dog will get used to the sounds and understand that they are not dangerous to him.
During the following days, increase the volume and additionally you can simulate the sounds of rustling trees.

If your dog shows great fear or constant anxiety during this period, contact your vet and ask for sedatives for your pet.
You can get such products without a prescription in pharmacies, but before they can be used choice it is worth consulting this with a veterinarian.

If your dog gets scared very much during a sudden outbreak of fireworks, stay calm, throw a few dog treats on his head and let him look for them.
The pet will learn that every time he hears a gunshot, he gets his treats. But if the dog is so scared that it does not respond to the treats,
then this method should be abandoned.

Always keep your dog on a leash during walks around New Year's Eve. Many dogs walking without a leash hearing a roar are so scared that they can run away.
And in the worst case, you can get rid of your buddy forever.

Plan for walks with your dog when gunshots are least likely to occur. Try to inform your closest neighbors that your pet hates fireworks.

Tips for dog owners

Don't take your dog with you to watch the fireworks.

Plan your time so that you don't leave your dog alone at home during New Year's Eve.
inform the caretakers there that the dog does not like fireworks. Tell them how the dog reacts and what you usually do to ease your dog's anxiety.

Make your dog more active during this time, take him for long walks. A pet that is more tired and content reacts more gently to
