During the informal ministerial meeting on electronic communications and digital services in Paris in early March, European Telecommunications ministers confirmed their strong solidarity with Ukraine.

Ukraine urgently needs equipment that will ensure the operation and maintenance of mobile and broadband networks in very demanding conditions. France has taken the initiative to coordinate such collection of necessary equipment for Ukraine, to which all EU countries are invited.

Norway has supported this initiative to collect equipment to be delivered to Ukraine. The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development is currently in contact with providers of mobile and broadband telephony services and other entities.

Ukraine needs, among others phones, modems, computers, batteries ...

- The collected equipment will help in maintaining digital communication. Accessible digital services are very important for communication and information exchange in the dire conditions in Ukraine, says Gram.

Ukraine needs, among other things, phones, modems, computers, batteries, servers and network equipment. The Ministry will invite industry organizations and companies to participate in this important event support for Ukraine.

Norway also acceded to the European Declaration on Increasing Europe's Digital Security Capacity.

Critical infrastructures such as mobile and broadband networks and the digital services they offer are critical to many functions in society and are the target of digital attacks. At the same meeting, Norway and the 27 EU Member States signed a political declaration that will contribute to increasing Europe's capacity and cooperation on digital security.
