Poles are the largest ethnic group in Norway among foreigners. Many of us have lived in Norway for many years and we would certainly like to obtain Norwegian citizenship. Being a Norwegian citizen would make several things easier, such as being able to travel to certain countries without having to apply for a visa.
Differences after receiving dual citizenship
Now Norwegia does not allow its citizens to retain their Norwegian citizenship after moving to another country and obtaining citizenship there. These regulations are being considered by norweski Government and are to be changed.

Dual citizenship is a precondition for depriving citizens of Norwegian citizenship in connection with terrorist or similar acts. This is one of the reasons why the Department of Justice and Emergency Planning is now proposing openly dual citizenship, says Minister of Immigration and Integration, Sylvi Listhau.
