Apples are one of those fruits that are available all year round. Currently, we have the opportunity to try over 10 varieties. The English say: "eat one apple a day and you won't need a doctor." So let's check what nutritional values and health properties this well-known fruit has.

A large dose of vitamins

Apple is a fruit that has been with us for a very long time. Its history goes back to the times of ancient Rome and the Greeks. They are rich in many vitamins, and modern nutritionists recommend eating at least two a day. Vitamins C, A, E, K are just a few of the many that can be found in the composition of apples.

They protect against heart attacks and atherosclerosis

Fiber is one of the many elements found in apples. Thanks to it, our body reduces the amount of absorbed cholesterol. The less it is in our body, the more we reduce the risk of developing atherosclerosis or a heart attack.

Eat with or without the peel?

As mentioned above, the apple has a very large amount of vitamin C. Practically half of it is located under the skin. This is one of the main reasons why we should eat an apple that is raw, picked straight from the tree. Interesting information is that the smaller the apple, the greater the amount of vitamin C, and if it is acidic, we have a guarantee that we will provide our body with very large amounts of not only vitamin C, but also A.

Apples and slimming

Apples are the perfect companion for people who want to lose a few extra pounds. They allow us to saturate our body without providing it with too much calories. However, it should be remembered that it is still a fruit and has very large amounts of simple sugars that are not conducive to the diet. Therefore, the amount of apples we eat should be very limited.

Apple is the same health

In addition to the above-mentioned benefits that come from the presence of apples in our lives, it has a good effect on the work of our brain, cleanses the body of toxins, and diabetics should not be afraid of its presence in their daily diet because it has a low glycemic index (we are talking here about small and controlled amounts). This fruit is just good flowing towards our body.
