in public places where it is not possible to maintain a distance of at least one meter.

- This is especially true for buses or other means of public transport where you sit or stand close to other people for some time.

This is what the chief city doctor Tove Røsstad in the municipality of Trondheim says in a press release.

She also reminds that good hand hygiene and being away from others are also important contributions to preventing the spread of infection.

There has been an overall increase in the number of infected nationwide, including in Trondheim.

The municipality believes that the current situation is not perceived as serious enough that there are grounds for imposing restrictions in the form of local regulations.

The municipality says high school students dominate, with 26 percent infected in Trondheim in the last week. They are followed by primary school students with 21 percent. The age group over 65 is 6 percent, while almost 2 percent of all cases of the disease last week were in kindergarten.

About 20 percent have an unknown source of infection, so according to Røsstad, there is also a circulating infection in society that we know little about.
