AstraZeneca - EU - Sues Company Over Vaccine Delays! The international vaccination program continues. What's more, the entire vaccine procedure is taking place faster and faster. Meanwhile, the European Union is suing AstraZenica for delays in deliveries. The defendant does not see the problem and considers the claim and the entire conflict to be unfounded. What is the situation at the moment?

AstraZeneca - conflict with the EU over the supply of vaccines!

The European Commission has started action against the vaccine group. She described her motives and the scope of activities at a special press conference.

“The commission launched legal proceedings against AstraZeneca last Friday. All 27 EU countries supported this step. The suit was filed before a Belgian court. AZ did not comply with part of the terms of the contract and was unable to develop a credible strategy to ensure the timely delivery of doses. We want to ensure the prompt delivery of the sufficient number of doses to which European citizens are entitled and that have been promised by contract. " - assured the spokesman of the European Commission Stefan De Keersmaecker. (source: Money.pl).

How about additional doses of the vaccine?

The AZ company offered to supply an additional batch of vaccines. However, the EU does not plan to adopt it - it believes that the proposed doses were to be delivered under a previously signed contract, which the company allegedly failed to fulfill.

In a word of summary. What does the vaccine manufacturer say?

AstraZeneca. What does the defendant think? How does the vaccine manufacturer relate to this? Do we know anything more? Astra fends off the attacks, believing that all allegations are unfounded. The company is of the opinion that it has fully complied with the contract and has nothing to complain about. According to the European Commission, the manufacturer supplied only 1/3 of the planned vaccines. Astra believes that this is not true and, as announced in a special press release, “are counting on a quick solution to the conflict.

First of all, the good of the patient ...

To sum up. Both sides of the conflict should take the patient's welfare first and foremost. It is important that Europeans get the right dose of vaccines. The more people get vaccinated - the sooner we say goodbye to the pandemic!
