Hello! I'll start from the beginning. Surprise! I am Tomasz. I am a sound engineer and music producer at Red Yeti Studio and I had the opportunity to work on dozens of hours of beautiful music. For over two years I have been cultivating my next passion - filming. I have already made almost 250 short films on social media, mainly for local cultural institutions. Due to the need for my own film projects, I established the Lo-Films channel - audiovisual arts. I also have the humility to call my films amateur cinema. I am aware of my still developing workshop.

Inspiration

Documentary cinema has always fascinated me. I am a man observing the world with great curiosity, I would love to show you what I see and what fascinates me through the lens of my camera, my own sensitivity and austere form. I am constantly developing as a creator. I bought a camera / camcorder, basic lenses, lighting and of course microphones. I create, check, play and dream. Dreams are the driving force behind my latest idea, which is why you are reading this!

Wikipedia

For starters, a moment for Wikipedia: Bodø - a Norwegian port city and a municipality in the Nordland region, the administrative center of the region. The city lies beyond the Arctic Circle. Bodø is Norway's 119th municipality by area. We already know where I will take you? I am explaining this further! I don't know when it started. Maybe in high school? Years ago. I came across Norway in Polish fantasy books. Then there were crime novels by Jo Nesbø and the mysterious rainy Oslo full of murders, riddles and grumbling Norwegians. Then came the fascination with the podcast of Gosia Dvorakowa who lives in Bodø (Gazelle in Lapland), Life in Norway on Spotify). So slowly, imperceptibly platonically I fell in love with Bodø. Has become.

In 2021, I visited Norway twice to shoot material for my new documentary about Poles in Bodø and the city itself. Finally, I am editing a 50-minute film with my own music composed by me. The film is based on 9 conversations / interviews with Poles living in Norway. The documentary is full of stories about life, emotions, nostalgia and hope. It is quite a romantic and artistic form. It will also feature a lot of my original shots of the beautiful Norwegian nature and everyday life of the city of Bodø. I am proud of what we managed to shoot on both trips. I met fascinating people, both Poles and Norwegians. I had the opportunity to experience great hospitality and experience a real adventure of my life! I wanted to show Poles ordinary Norway through my film. Show the life of Poles in Bodø and bring both cultures closer to each other. It fascinates me very much and I can see that I could also interest you - recipients in Norway and in Poland.

Own project.

I was traveling alone, at my own expense, only partially financing the trips from a small collection on the website odpalorojekt.pl. I must admit that the whole project was very expensive for me (I am an amateur artist, I did all this for artistic reasons, not counting on any profit from the film). In about 3 months, my amateur documentary will be ready. I am planning events related to the premiere both in Poland and in Norway. The Norwegian film premiere would take place at the Stormen Libraries in Bodø. I am at the stage of discussions on this topic. I initially planned the Polish premiere of the film in the Public Library in Piaseczno, where I work.
