Hardangerbrua – An engineering wonder on the fjord
Hardangerbrua is the longest suspension bridge in Norway, open to traffic September 17, 2013. The bridge is an impressive 1380 meters long, with a main span of 1310 meters, suspended 55 meters above the water. Its construction is quite an engineering feat, enabling passage over deep water fjord 100 meters deep, which was a huge construction challenge. The bridge connects Vallavik with Bu, offering not only functionality but also spectacular views.
Gamle bybro – Historic bridge in the heart of Trondheim
Designed in 1681 and built four years later, Gamle Bybro, also called the Old Town Bridge, is an icon Trondheim. This bridge was built after the great city fire and connected Kjøpmannsgata street with the historic Bakklandet district. Its creation contributed to reconstruction and development city center, while also replacing the older, neglected Elgeseter Bridge.
Ypsilon – Modern architecture in Drammen
The Ypsilon Bridge, thanks to its unique, three-legged Y shape, is a modern Drammen attraction. The rope bridge spans the Dramenselva River, connecting Grønland Park with Bragernes City Park. Ypsilon not only serves a practical function, allowing residents easy access to recreational areas, but also constitutes an interesting element of the urban landscape, encouraging walks and admiring the surroundings.
