How many times has this been heard of the common anesthesia among humans? How many times have you heard of no help when you are hurt? All this recently experienced a 48-year-old man who was brutally beaten and robbed while on the train. Nobody reacted, and nobody helped.

Severe beating in broad daylight

"We have to take care of each other" - these words were spoken by the victim himself, Rune Stubberd Larsen. The man is 48 years old and was robbed and badly beaten on the train from Drammen to Asker last Sunday afternoon. The Flytoget Communication Manager informed the press that she would independently assess the actions of employees and people in the vicinity of the incident. To the question asked by the journalist ABC Nyheter, whether this situation is an ordinary, everyday event, he replies: "No, it is fortunately a very unusual event and of course we, the people responsible for this type of situation in the company, pay special attention to it."

Robbed and beaten

Mr. Larsen, the main injured party. The man who was driving calmly from Drammen to Asker did not expect that his journey would end tragically. The man tells how the incident happened: 'At first, when I saw this man, he seemed quite strange to me. I thought he looked different from the rest of the passengers, and he certainly didn't behave normally. There was something suspicious in his gaze. I knew not to pay attention to him, so I looked down at my phone screen to go back to watching the show. I noticed the man reaching for my bag, so I placed my hand on it. Unfortunately, my reaction was too late because the man threw a punch at me. I tried to defend myself, but he was stronger. He punched me in the face again and then hit me in the back of the head several times, leaving me covered in blood. The thief took my bag and ran away.”

Valuable things

As Mr. Larsen's stolen bag contained valuable items such as a passport or an Ipad, the man headed for the escaping thief. When the thief noticed that there was nothing in the bag that interested him, he demanded money. The victim complied with the man's request, and when this happened, the thief ran away and disappeared. Fortunately, he was caught and arrested very quickly.

Human anesthesia

Mr. Larsen, as he himself writes on his Facebook profile, regrets the lack of any help from people in the vicinity who witnessed the entire incident. Train staff took care of the victim only at Asker station, when the 48-year-old man finished his journey.

Let's support each other

Very often you hear about the lack of any help from people who witness someone's harm. Are we doing it out of laziness, because we don't feel like it's our business, or out of fear that something might also happen to us? And what if we will need help one day and no one will help us, what then? "Let's take care of ourselves" - this is the wish of Mr. Larsen, a victim who was not helped.
