There was hope in the fight against the increasing number of cancer cases. For many years, scientists have been working on inventing the "golden medicine". As it turns out, the Norwegians are on the verge of developing an effective cancer vaccine. Will it be a new breakthrough in medicine? Is this a chance for people at risk of developing cancer? We look at it a bit closer. With great attention and interest.

Cancer vaccine - work and research are ongoing!

The ordering party for the cancer vaccine is the pharmaceutical concern Ultimovacs. Scientists from Radforsk (Radiumhospitalets forskningsstiftelse) are conscientiously working on the new vaccine, which is likely to change and "turn the world of medicine upside down". The UV1 vaccine and immunotherapy give patients a good chance of surviving the disease. The main advantage of this vaccine is its versatility. The drugs available on the market today "hit" only one specific type of cancer. Here we are dealing with a vaccine for all possible cancer outbreaks. It will also be able to be administered preventively to people who are genetically at risk of developing cancer in their body. This can significantly reduce the number of cancer cases.

When will the vaccine go on sale?

If everything goes according to plan, the vaccine will hit the market in 3-4 years. Final research is ongoing to confirm its effectiveness. Approximately 150 patients with melanoma with symptoms of proliferation are participating in the final stage of the study. This innovative drug must be thoroughly tested.

The specialists are hopeful!

The scientists participating in the study are hopeful: "We dream that cancer will become a chronic disease that we can treat, live with rather than die with," said Jònas Einarsson, director at Radforsk and president of Ultimovacs, at NRK.

We hope it will. We keep our fingers crossed! We believe that the new drug will change the face of medicine and give patients a chance for a healthy, better life!
