One of them was the cause of a real tragedy that occurred at a Christmas market in Luxembourg. A huge piece of ice that broke away from a sculpture displayed at the fair crushed a one-year-old child. The injuries suffered by the child were very serious. As a result of receiving them, the child died on the way to the hospital. What else do we know about this case? What did the police find out?

The tragic event took place last Sunday at the Christmas market in Luxembourg. At around 20pm, a huge chunk of ice broke off near the skating rink that was put on display at the Luxembourg Christmas market. It was a fragment of an ice sculpture that was exposed. The lump crushed a child nearby. It is worth noting that the help appeared immediately, however, despite the immediate rescue operation, the child was not saved.
Christmas market in Luxembourg - prosecution is under investigation
. Due to the tragic events that took place on Sunday during the Christmas market in Luxembourg, the local prosecutor's office initiated an investigation. Its purpose is to explain the exact circumstances of the incident. Police officers who are helping to conduct the investigation are asking all people who witnessed the accident to immediately report to the police station to testify. As the officers emphasize, any information may prove to be very important. As we know, witnesses who saw the entire incident are still coming forward.

It is worth paying attention to the fact that we do not know yet what was the direct cause of the ice block breaking off the sculpture. There is also no information on whether the ice sculpture, the piece of which was crushed by the child, was properly secured. All of this will be clarified during the investigation. How long will we wait for an explanation? Did this tragedy have to happen? Did the child have to die? Let's hope that we will know the results of the investigation soon.
