Norway gives up some restrictions

Almost four weeks have passed since the government developed the strongest and most radical measures to be taken in Norway in peacetime.

On Tuesday at 16:00, Prime Minister Erna Solberg presented new information on how to deal with the crisis.

He begins by thanking the Norwegians for their efforts to fight the virus and points out that it has a high price.
- At the start of Easter, 400 Norwegians are out of work, mainly because they have been made redundant, he says.

Another bans lifted

"Sleeping in a cabin will no longer be a crime, but it is still a national recommendation to avoid recreational travel," says Bent Høie.

Parents who cross national borders to come into contact with minor children should not be quarantined.

The ban on cultural, sporting and other events that do not meet the basic requirements for infection will apply until June 15.

Sports activities can be carried out as long as the recommendations for distance and number of people at one time and place are followed. Health Directorate.

Municipalities are instructed to allow persons in quarantine or isolation to stay in a hotel or other place designated by the municipality.

After Easter, hospitals need to get ready to function normally.

The Health Directorate will work with municipal officials to ensure that municipalities restore normal health and healthcare activities.

Municipalities have an increased demand for childcare.

Now the authorities have to make good use of Easter. Laws and rules must be created to ensure pandemic control.
