Can systematic use of rapid tests reduce the risk of infection?
The government has asked the Norwegian Health Directorate and the National Institute of Public Health to assess whether the systematic use of rapid tests before and during the stay can reduce the risk of infection when the partner is present during and after delivery.
Review the partner's status and habits in all hospitals
Currently, the Norwegian Health Directorate and the National Institute of Public Health recommend the use of rapid tests when there is a suspicion that a partner may be infected and when there are local outbreaks. However, they do not recommend systematic use of Rapid Tests for testing by all partners.
