The Norwegian Medicines Agency has published a new overview of possible side effects after vaccination.

So far, the Norwegian Medicines Agency has received 9200 reports of suspected side effects following vaccinations in Norway.

To date, 4664 messages have been processed, 479 of which have been classified as serious.

Most reports concern common and expected side effects such as stab wounds, headaches, general malaise with fever, fatigue, nausea and body aches. These side effects are known from the research on which the endorsements are based.

The Norwegian Medicines Agency believes that the adverse reaction reports are not a basis for changing the current vaccination recommendations with Pfizer and Moderna.

Five cases

Norwegian Institute of Health The public continued to pause the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine in Norway after several cases of suspected serious side effects linked to blood clots, bleeding and low platelet counts.

As of March 23, five cases of this particular disease picture had been reported in Norway. Three people have died and the other two are being treated in hospital.

- It is likely to tie these side effects

The Norwegian Medicines Agency believes there is a possible link to AstraZeneca and these rare cases.

They think more research is needed to understand what causes the picture of rare diseases.

NIPH said it would decide to continue using AstraZeneca and will likely present an update on Friday.

Several other countries decided to resume use of the vaccine after the EMA deemed it safe.

The case is updated.
