Equinor discovered oil in the Norwegian Sea off the coast of Trøndelag. It is estimated that the oil discovery is between 19 and 62 million barrels.
Equinor writes in a press release that, together with partners PGNiG and Longboat Energy, they found oil in one of their exploration wells. The well is located approximately 10 kilometers north of the Tyrihans field and 23 kilometers east of the Kristin field in the Norwegian Sea.
Equinor with a new oil discovery. This discovery is the sixth discovery to date by Equinor on the Norwegian shelf this year.
