An accident during an exercise on a military site at Mågerøy

One of the soldiers is accused of careless handling of weapons during military exercises. The incident took place at Mågerøy in the municipality of Færder on Tuesday afternoon, November 30. It was there, during a military exercise, that a young woman, a conscript soldier, was shot. The woman is seriously injured but in no danger.

She is in the hospital when she is shot

The woman is still in the hospital. She is being treated at the Ullevål University Hospital. Relatives have been notified and are supported by personnel of the Armed Forces.

An accident on a military property in Mågerøy

The Southeast Police District has opened an investigation and has already heard many witnesses. The accused soldier was due to be questioned today on Wednesday, December 1.
