There are currently around 700 asylum seekers at the Nasjonalt ankomstsenter in Råde, Viken. Most of them are refugees from Ukraine.

The capacity of the center is higher, but as many of them will be available in a short time, we are also using Scandic Helsfyr temporarily. The hotel is part of the emergency services of the municipality of Oslo and offers a capacity of 1000 beds in 420 rooms.

We are constantly expanding our offer and on Friday, 350 additional mattresses and 10 new toilets were delivered to the center. While handling the unannounced buses, which arrive with around 50 passengers on each bus, is demanding, the staff makes sure that everyone is looked after in the best possible way.

There is a health center at the center in Råde that looks after the refugees. Medical personnel will also be brought in in Helsfyr. Local health authorities will take care of this.

We are working with Noas, the Red Cross and Civil Defense to address refugees.
