The medical clinic will be closed in the first week of 2024 and will then move to Mariero for renovation.
At the beginning of this year, a decision was made to change the form of operation of the medical center in Tjensvoll. Now it is a municipal medical clinic where doctors work on their own. This was done to continue to provide a GP service in the local area. The municipality of Stavanger will run a medical practice, and the doctors from the practice will run their own business. Nurses and health secretaries at Tjensvoll Medical Center continue to work as municipal employees.

The new form of operation will be in force from January 2024. However, before the medical center is put into operation, the premises owned by the Stavanger commune must undergo renovation. The medical center must be located in Mariero for some time. Due to the move, Tjensvoll Medical Center will be completely closed during the first week of January. Patients in urgent need can contact Hafrsfjord Medical Center at this time on 51 91 96 96 between 2 and 5. January. From January 8, Tjensvoll Medical Center will be located at Langflåtveien 33 in Mariero. The phone number will still be 51 89 70 30.
