From 8 to 26 November, one of Norway's largest public health research is carried out, this time in Viken. 250 residents over 000 are asked, inter alia, for own health, well-being and quality of life. The study is under the patronage of fylke Viken and the National Institute of Public Health.

The survey results will be used for research

- The survey will help to broaden the knowledge of how most people in Viken evaluate their own health, quality of life and well-being. The results will support work in the field of public health in communes and provinces. They will also be used for research, says senior adviser Thomas Sevenius Nilsen, who is coordinating the study with the National Institute of Public Health.

The first results can be expected after eight weeks

A total of 250 randomly selected people aged over 000 in 18 Viken municipalities will be invited via SMS and e-mail to the online survey. In this survey, they will be encouraged to complete a digital survey. The questions cover everything from community well-being to sleep. There are questions about access to various offers and services, social contacts, mental and physical health, noise problems, physical activity, eating habits, and the use of tobacco and alcohol. It takes approximately 51 minutes to complete the form.

You will be able to answer the survey until November 26 inclusive. The first results can be expected after eight weeks.

The study will provide new, local knowledge that can contribute to work on improving the quality of life, well-being and health inhabitants.

- Good health and quality of life are a prerequisite for sustainable development in our region. Thanks to this survey, we will gain completely new, unique, local knowledge about how people experience their own life situation. We know that this is the knowledge that the municipalities of Viken need in their work to improve people's health, well-being and quality of life, says Viken County Council leader Siv Henriette Jacobsen.

Annette Lindahl Raakil, County Councilor for Planning, Climate and Environment in Viken, adds:

- If we are to create good local communities and local environments, we need to know how people feel. In order for this survey to give an accurate picture of how the population is doing, we need help from residents of all municipalities in Viken.
