Ten people hospitalized after the Rjukan head-on collision

Ten people were rushed to hospital following the head-on collision of two cars in Busnesgrenda on Tinnsjøveien in Rjukan on Friday night.

The accident happened on district road 37 in Telemark just before 21:00 on Friday.

There were seven people in one car and three in the other. According to police, the two injured have been transferred to Ullevål Hospital in Oslo and both are seriously injured.

Three more were sent by ambulance to the hospital in Skien, two of them are classified as seriously injured.

Five people were taken by ambulance to Drammen hospital, but police said none of them were seriously injured.

The road was reopened at 23:00 on Friday night.
