According to press releases from the municipality of Bergen, there will be changes in the city council as a result of the departure of the KrF party.

Due to the fact that the KrF party has announced that it will withdraw from the city council, the chairman of the city council, Roger Valhammer, has announced changes to its composition.

- KrF has tried very hard for Bergen over the past seven years and we have had a good time working together. I am aware that KrF has been conducting internal discussions since February this year. They are about how they will manage to gain their own support. I understand that KrF has to find itself in the run-up to the upcoming elections, says city council chairman Roger Valhammer.

Ruth Grung (Ap) will temporarily assume responsibility for the elderly, health and volunteering.

New city council on Thursday

`` We will continue to run Bergen safely and well in an uncertain time. The fact that we are now moving from four parties to three in the city council means that I will make changes to the city council. The new city council will be unveiled on Thursday this week, announces the chairman of the city council Roger Valhammer.

The exact time of the press conference with the presentation of the new city council will be announced later this week.
