Winter holidays are a time that many of us use for rest, fun and trips to the mountains. However, it is worth remembering about possible difficulties on the roads, especially during heavy snowfall. With the arrival of the winter holidays, there is a high chance that the pass will be closed, which may result in travel difficulties.

Winter holidays full of surprises on the roads

To be prepared for changing weather conditions, it is worth following the forecasts available on the new website. Winter holidays are a time when the weather and its sudden changes can significantly affect travel safety. Therefore, the Vegvesen Traffic application becomes an indispensable tool for all travelers.

Thanks to the application, you can track the percentage risk of closing one hundred mountain passes and other road sections. In addition to information about the risk of closure, the application also provides traffic reports and images from webcams, which allows you to better assess the situation on the route.

Snowfall and temperature fluctuations mean road conditions may be difficult and some mountain passes may be closed to traffic. Therefore, it is worth being aware of the road situation and using available tools to help plan a safe trip.

We encourage you to use the website vegvesen.no/trafikk and the Vegvesen Traffic app to stay up to date with the road situation and ensure safe travel during the winter holidays.
