Vehicle Use Reimbursement Rates

  • Cars (including electric): In 2023, the rate is NOK 4,48 per kilometer, while in 2024 it increases to NOK 4,90.
  • Motorcycles over 125 cc: The rate per kilometer is NOK 2,95.
  • Mopeds and motorcycles under 125 cc: You will receive NOK 2,00 per kilometer traveled.
  • Additional rates: There are also rates for driving on forest and construction roads, transporting equipment and materials, and for each passenger.

Per Diems and Meal Deductions

  • Overnight trips: In 2023, for a journey lasting over 12 hours, the allowance is NOK 872, and in 2024 it increases to NOK 940.
  • Trips from 6 to 12 hours: The rates are NOK 342 and NOK 369 respectively.
  • Travel without overnight stay: For trips over 12 hours, the rates are NOK 637 and NOK 686 respectively in 2024.
  • Deductions: When meals are covered by your employer, appropriate deductions must be made from your allowance.

Overnight and Long-Term Stay Allowances

  • Night extras: are intended to cover accommodation costs when the employee has not received an offer of hotel accommodation. In 2023, they amount to NOK 435 per day.
  • Stay over 28 days: Rates change after the first 4 weeks of stay to adjust to the employee's long-term needs.
