Interview with Kaja Szulc-Nweke
What is the greatest thing about helping others? Is it worth encouraging your relatives and friends to do so? How can this be done?
Helping is great! Being able to be part of the organization during the final is even better. Of course, it costs a lot of work, but when you see the smiling faces of people who came to play with us during the event, and after the event, it turns out that there was a really large amount of money during the fundraising, it makes you very proud and motivates you to do even more good!
Do you often encounter "hatred" or are people rather kindly approaching your involvement?
Public activity, unfortunately, is always connected with some hate. It is impossible to do something in such a way that everyone is happy. The most important thing, however, is that there are many more satisfied people than the fussy ones (smile).
What was the impulse to "start helping others"?
We have a great team, so the impulse was quick and simple - "Let's do something good"!
What was it like - did you get involved in the activities of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity after coming to Norway or have you actively participated in developing this idea already in Poland?
Here each of us could answer differently. There are many people among us who have been working with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity for years, even before coming to Norway. I had not co-created the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity before, but every year I came to the finals in my city. I also had the opportunity several times - back in high school - to organize accompanying events during which my band gave concerts, and then performed with a fire show as part of the lights up to heaven!
