Piotr Zieliński can go to Chelsea, Izu Ugonoh's successful return to the Polish ring, Artur Szpilka's victory in the boxing gala at PGE Narodowy and the victory of Polish volleyball players in the clash with South Korea. Last Friday was full of good news for Polish sport.

Piotr Zieliński will go to Chelsea?

All indications are that Maurico Sarri will be the new Chelsea coach, who is currently the Napoli SSC coach. However, as football-italia.net claims, it is possible that Piotr Zieliński, who plays for the Italian club, will change the club colors. Together with the Pole and the coach, 24-year-old defender Elseid Hysaj and 32-year-old Raul Albiol are to go to the London club.

The new contract of the Pole

However, Piotr Zieliński's transfer to Chelsea is not a foregone conclusion. The Pole is to sign a new contract with Napoli SSC in the days to come. The Italian club wants to remove the 65 million euro penalty clause for teams from outside the Apennine Peninsula. This is to be related to the growing interest in the Polish representative on the part of, inter alia, Premier League clubs.

Izu Ugonoha's return to the Polish ring

Izu Ugonoh is a black boxer who was born in Poland. The last time he boxed was in 2013 in the country on the Vistula River, when he lost to Dominik Breazeal. His great return to the Polish ring was to take place during the gala at the PGE Narodowy. His opponent was Fred Kassi. Izu Ugonoh won this match, while his rival did not make it to the third round. According to the Pole, it was disappointing. He did not expect Kassi to give up the rest of the match in this way.

Artur Szpilka won

During the PGE Narodowy gala, Artur Szpilka and Dominick Guinne took part in the fight of the evening. The boxers fought all ten rounds. As it turned out in the judges' scoring - all of them were won by a Pole. More importantly - Artur Szpilka started the fight after a long hand injury.

Bad blood is missing

The Polish boxer also stated that "bad blood is lacking" at such gala events. In his opinion, if boxing in Poland is to revive, clashes should be organized that electrify the public opinion. These include, among others his fight with Włodarczyk or Zimnochem. During the conversation, Artur Szpilka also stated that he was ready to compete with other Polish boxers.

Polish volleyball players won with South Korea

Polish volleyball players had a successful start in the League of Nations. Last Friday they clashed with South Korea. The match was played in Katowice's Spodek. The Polish national team won all sets of 25:20, 25:18 and 25:21 painlessly. The next match will be played against Russia and Canada, and will be held in Krakow. The stake in these games is which team will play in the main part of the League of Nations.
