Death in the mountains

Norwegian police were notified of the accident on Thursday at 11:30. After the arrival of the services, a seventy-year-old boy was found dead, who fell from the ridge of Mount Besseggen. The skull trauma, which the man hit against a stone during a fall into a nearly 10-meter chasm, most likely contributed to his death. A rescue helicopter was called to the scene and transported the tourist to a nearby hospital. However, the extent of the injuries did not allow the doctors to save his life.

Nobody saw anything

According to Jo Oien of the local police, it is difficult to establish the circumstances of the accident because there are no eyewitnesses who saw the moment of the fall. The wind factor, which was not strong that day, is initially ruled out. It is not known whether the man made a mistake with the paperclip or whether he was pushed into the abyss. Officers determine how the accident happened, but there is a concern that the proceedings will be discontinued due to the lack of evidence and witnesses.
