Vaccines in Norway - the basic information is knowledge of the SYSVAK system - this is an electronic vaccination register. If we decide on the optional (yet worth doing) and free vaccinations of children, we will have to deal (or actually the offspring) with nurses during 7 visits, during which there will be twelve injections. Compared to Polish standards, it is about 4 visits by me and as much as half of the injections.

First contact nurses

The doctor is only called for consultations and only in exceptional cases. nurses are the staff first contact. Their task is to qualify the treatments that need to be performed. Their implementation is also within their competence. Primary care nurses' responsibilities also include providing parents with all necessary information. Including, among others: possible adverse post-vaccination reactions.

Vaccines in Norway - NOP

NOP stands for Adverse Vaccination Reaction, monitored and reported by a physician. In addition, anyone can submit it via the website by completing the appropriate form. Annual reports collect data on the NOP. Sanitary services analyze the report from the doctor who suspects an infectious disease and fills in the appropriate document (in paper form, which is then sent).

Taking care of health

The Ministry of Health approves the vaccination schedule based on data and opinion from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. After accepting the schedule, vaccines are purchased and transferred to vaccination centers, where nurses take care of the qualification
and they give the injections.
