The hardest thing to make decisions

Do you know this problem when you decide that you are going on a trip with your family this weekend, but you do not know where to go and what to see? A bigger problem arises when we want this family trip to interest our children as well. Do not worry because Norway has many beautiful and interesting places that will please not only your children, but also yourself.

Trolls - who are they?

Probably most of you have in front of your eyes a small or large, playful individual who plays tricks, can be unbearable and noisy. Not since yesterday they are the heroes of many fairy tales, movies and computer games, but no one has ever seen them. Are you sure it is impossible to meet them live in everyday life? Well it is possible. The only question is where to look for them?

Father of the Trolls

The founder and originator of the Troll Park is Leif Rubach. He is a man who has combined his great passion with work. He loves to sculpt mythical creatures, and as he says, the creativity that characterizes the creation of trolls comes from his childhood. There are many stories that Leif, and not only him, draws inspiration from. One of them is the fact that Norway is famous for its large number of fishermen. Now, when these fishermen went ashore to rest, they left their tools and gloves on the nearby piers. Unfortunately, they were afraid that many children playing nearby might, for example, entangle their fishing nets or steal something for fun. So they came up with the idea that they would tell them various, made up stories about trolls in order to scare them away from this place.

The biggest troll in the world

On the island of Senja, which is far beyond the Arctic Circle, we have the opportunity to come to the land of trolls. It is there that we will meet the world's largest troll, which is 17 meters high. In the belly of a giant, which of course you can enter, many attractions await visitors. The troll's belly consists of two storeys, and each of them greets us with something different, e.g. with folk legends from the island of Senja. Next to him, we can meet the troll's wife, who is a bit smaller, because she is 14 meters tall. An interesting fact that is worth mentioning is the fact that in the belly of the wife of the largest troll in the world, there is a troll parliament. The singing trolls also make our stay pleasant.

Time with family

I believe that if we want to have a good time and have a good time, so that our children are satisfied, and we are relaxed and smiling just like our children, the Troll Park is one of the best places for this type of trip. The cost of such a visit for 2 adults and 2 children (family ticket) is NOK 340. The time you need to book to visit this place is about 2 hours.
