The E6 road was closed to traffic

A large part of the E6 roadway near the Stenungsundsmotet commune in Sweden collapsed as a result of a landslide. According to Swedish services, the road is completely closed. Road users and residents are asked to avoid the area. The landslide has an area of ​​approximately 700 by 200 meters. The entire area is fenced off.

Many people, vehicles and buildings are affected by the disaster. The extent of the damage is currently unclear. As a result of this incident, three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The road is closed in both directions and is expected to remain closed for an extended period. It is estimated that repairing the damage may take up to several months. The risk of further landslides cannot be ruled out. Road users and residents are asked to avoid the area.

A no-fly zone has been designated over the landslide area. This also applies to drones.

When planning a trip, you need to take into account detours and the fact that it will take longer.
