"On foot to the summer", "Biała Armia", "A glass of water" and many, many other pieces were played yesterday at Plac Zamkowy on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the band BAJM. Fans could experience an amazing performance in which the main role was played by Beata Kozidrak, the current musicians of the band, but also artists who had something to do with it for 40 years.
Solidarity and Freedom Day
It was this day that was chosen as the date of the concert. In addition, Lublin wanted to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence with this event. Before the event, the mayor of the city, Krzysztof Żuk, gave a short speech to Kurier Lubelski, where he announced that it would be the biggest musical event of this year.
"Armata Bianca"
It is estimated that 40 people came to the concert. Fans could listen to the over two-hour-long concert for free. Beata Kozidrak and the band sang the greatest hits from the date of the band's founding (1978) to the present day. The artist herself also paid tribute to her deceased brother, Jarosław Kozidrak, who, as she said herself, was preparing this concert together with the rest of the band, but was not allowed to play here anymore.
Grodzka 36
The concert took place at Castle Square near the tenement house at Grodzka 36, where Beata Kozidrak spent 12 years of her life. During the performance, she remembered this beautiful time many times. The city gave the artist a great surprise and three large photographs were hung in the windows of her apartment.
New plate
The anniversary concert was also the premiere day of the band's new album, which sums up 40 years team activities. A nice surprise was waiting for the fans - as many as 400 CDs with Beata's signature.
