As reported by Przegląd Sportowy, Adam Nawałka was offered to lead Zagłębie Lubin. The former coach of the Polish national team was to start talks with the management of this club. This is the result of the disappointing attitude of Zagłębie in the new season, and above all a disgrace in the Polish Cup.
Fatal start to the season
The beginning of the 2018/2019 season is not successful for Zagłębie Lubin. Currently, the team is ranked 9th in the LOTTO Ekstraklasa table and after 5 victories, 2 defeats and 5 defeats, they scored 17 points. Lewandowski could have left after the match with Wisła Płock
The last resort for the current coach was the match of the 12th round of LOTTO Ekstraklasa with Wisła Płock. In the 80th minute of the match, the team from Płock was leading 3: 1. The draw was guaranteed by Bartłomiej Pawłowski, who scored two goals in the last 10 minutes of the match. As a result, Mateusz Dróżdż - the club's president - was almost sure that he would end his cooperation with Mariusz Lewandowski on Sunday evening. He changed his decision only after talking to the Management Board.
Adam Nawałka will take over Zagłębie from spring?
As reported Przegląd Sportowy, Adam Nawałka did not reject Zagłębie Lubin's proposal. Nevertheless, he allegedly asked for the talks to be postponed to a later date. According to press reports, he would start working with the new club during the winter preparations, and he will play his first league matches in the spring.

Unemployed since July
Adam Nawałka has been unemployed since July this year. After unsuccessful ones World Championships in Russia, he decided to end cooperation with the Polish national team. Before the season, it was said that Legia Warszawa was interested in his services. Ultimately, the former coach rejected the proposal. Recently, Sport.pl learned that the national teams of Armenia, Iran and Cyprus also asked about Adam Nawałka. However, none of these proposals interested him.
