Barnevernet will take their son from them. 13 years, this is how long the Iwański family lived in Norway. Unfortunately, problems with the center dealing with the protection of children's rights, i.e. Barnevernet, forced them to flee to Poland. How did this come about, and what was the cause of all the fuss?

Innocent, children's games

The Iwański family consists of wife Barbara, husband Łukasz and eight wonderful children. They all lived in a house located above fjord in Oslo. They led a peaceful and happy life. One day, their 3-year-old son, Julian, broke his arm while playing innocently as a child. Immediately after the incident, his parents took him to the hospital, where the nurse advised him to give the child paracetamol and return to the hospital tomorrow. The child's father did not agree to this solution and demanded it immediately contact your doctor. The nurse didn't like the man's behavior and she kicked them out the door. After a while, a new nurse appeared and referred the family to a doctor to fix the baby's hand.

Donos and Barnevernet

The nurse, who did not like the behavior of 3-year-old Julian's father, denounced the man. The letter stated that Mr. Łukasz was behaving very aggressively, and this could pose a threat to her and the whole family. Immediately after this incident, the Norwegian children's welfare office took up the matter Child welfare. Unfortunately, the officials, without prior notice to their parents, began checking documents from the school, hospital and workplaces where Ms Barbara and Mr Łukasz worked. In addition, the oldest children were interviewed, and the questions that were asked were quite suggestive. According to their testimony, officials directly asked if Dad was beating them or shouting at them.

Barnevernet will take their son from them. Fear of losing children

The Iwański family felt a great fear when they found out that the Norwegian authorities had taken care of the whole matter Child welfare. After 13 years of living in Norway, they knew of their friends' cases where the above-mentioned the office deprived parents of having their children. They were afraid that the same would happen to them, so they decided to flee Norway as soon as possible. Before that happened, they had talked to lawyers and the Polish consul. The escape took place under the cover of night, so that no one could notice it or turn them back.

They cannot see a return to Norway

A few weeks after the family returned to Poland, the Iwański family received a letter from the office. Child welfare he informed in a letter from Mr. Łukasz that the case was closed and the man would not bear any consequences. Although the sent report shows a positive conclusion to the case, the family will not decide to return to Norway again. Why? For the next 10 years, the Iwański family will appear on a special register, which will make the probability of taking their children away from them greater and much easier.

Why is Barnevernet being criticized?

According to many Poles living in Norway, this office very often separates parents from their children, and worst of all, it tends to incite minors to testify against their relatives. Not only Poles criticize the Norwegian office, but also the Norwegians. The reason why this can be written openly is a letter written by over 200 Norwegian experts addressed to Child welfare. Many errors and imperfections were pointed out to the office in the letter. In 2018, a resolution of the Council of Europe was issued, which criticizes the Norwegian office quite strongly. The Court of Human Rights also found in 2018 that Child welfare he violates human rights with his actions.
