It turns out that there were almost 11.400 such cases! Why is this happening? Is the fault the Office of Labor and Social Welfare, or maybe the people?
NAV receives social benefits
In 2019, almost 11 people lost their social security benefits. Among these people, as many as 400 unemployed people lost their right to benefits. Why? It turns out that when NAV organized various meetings and activities of these people they refused to participate in them. However, this is not the end, as 600 more people lost their unemployment benefits due to their refusal to take up the job offered to them, and as many as 8500 people, as agreed, quit their jobs without any specific argument.

Cutting the transitional allowance
The Labor and Social Welfare Office also had to undertake cuts in the transitional allowance last year. This is the so-called arbeidsavklaringspenger. The allowance is paid to people who are temporarily unable to work because of illness or injury. The office struck and reduced the transitional allowance to almost 800 people in 2019.
