Energy prices in Norway have not been that high for over 9 years! Firewood shops are empty in the middle of winter!

High energy prices

High prices cause Norwegians to switch to another form of home heating. Currently, Plantasjen, OBS Bygg and both Byggmakker warn against a great shortage of wood, which has become a scarce product. Experts explain the problem high energy prices. Many stores in Oslo that offer wood for sale do not currently have the product in stock and do not know when it will be available again.

It has never been like this!

According to experts, this winter is special because so much wood has never been sold before. In previous years, there were also cases where there was a shortage of wood for sale in several places. However, it was never like this. We are now in the middle of winter and record volumes of timber have already been sold. Perhaps it would not be so bad if it were not for the fact that energy prices are still too high and not everyone can afford such a luxury. In addition, it is worth mentioning that in Norway there is a ban on the use of heating oil and kerosene in homes, which also affects energy prices.
